The wroth of the awakened Saxon

Anger of a Quiet Man posted the following words by Rudyard Kipling and in so doing takes the opportunity to link to various stories about Islamism.

It is my believe that a groundswell of opposition is stirring in our country and the subsequent fire that will result is being fed by an increasing number of differing 'fuels'; those that affect our daily lives mostly emanating from the European Union; the refunding of expenses to MPs; the consequences of immigration, the bulk of which our 'government' can do nothing about; the announcement just now on Twitter by LauraK that the European Court has rejected the UK's attempt to overturn the requirement to give prisoners the vote; the abysmal behaviour of our political class, epitomised by their deceit, lying and obfuscation; the 'bending of our knee' to the followers of Islam.

The political elite in our country need to recognise - and recognise quickly - that they hold their fate in their own hands and they have a choice on changing their behaviour - something that they have not given us. As a race the British are slow to anger, resulting in the situation that it is not until their backs are against the wall, that they decide to fight - but when they do, then heaven help those in their path.

It is with this in mind that I reproduce the words of Kipling:

"THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddenly bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
"

WfW, I hope you are correct in your assessment. Our enemies taught me to hate them several years ago and I have been waiting ever since for a general movement in our country to right the wrongs that have been done to us. But I can't yet see the attitude shift that will cause us to rise up and expel the evildoers.
