Where art thou BBC, ITV, MSM etc, etc

Why is it we have to tune into Russia Today in order to see an interview like this:

To paraphrase, is it because our media believe in the mantra of "Hear no truth, see no truth, speak no truth"?

Just asking..............................

It's because when it was their turn to live under communism, they had to tune into our free press to hear the truth. Now, that the tables are turned, we must do the same and tune into their media for information ours withholds on behalf of the communists who now rule in the west instead of the east.

It's now so dishonest that they're no longer even hiding it. Frightening times.

Which is exactly the reason that I've given up buying a daily newspaper. There seems to be some form of censorship which is stopping the media saying anything about immigration and many aspects of the EU.
Do you think the government or the EU has got one of these "super-injunctions" prohibiting the press from telling us what's going on? I wouldn't put it beyond them!
I'm now relying on foreign newspapers and blogs to keep me informed.

A, JH & EP: Agree with all you each say, however still take the DT as example of how a once great paper is no more.

Media should be free it is after all Propaganda. The BBC/ITV/Sky conglomerate is dire obsessed with Long Island prostitutes and ignoring mass pile-ups outside Rostock, or riots in European cities, or the situation in Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Iran, or even events in Russia, Poland, Hungary, France.

Al-Jazeera gets rave notices on German Blogs for being less of a "gleichgeschaltete Presse" than the Court Media in Germany which also censors and sidelines

I suspect there is an EU PR department which has a generous slush fund.....after all once the US stopped in Libya, it dropped out of the news....just as Obama is no longer poster boy for Western media

It is so Brave New World

I watch almost no TV, but I tend to watch RT and Al-Jazeera in preference to BBC/ITV which no longer even pretend to represent anything but the interests of the EU ruling class.

Blogs such as this one are better than TV news by a wide, wide margin.

How much would it cost to set up a new, independent and non-censored daily newspaper (I wonder?).

TT: First para - agree. 2nd para: never having been to Germany, wouldn't know. 3rd para agreed.

AKH: Ditto and many thanks for the compliment.

A: Far more than I have! Seriously an independent, non-censored rag would be great.
