Another EU Budget 'fight' on the horizon?

We all no doubt recall the EU Budget 'negotiations' that took place last year - including the Cameron 'spin operation' that followed.

Guess what? It looks very much like we are going to get the remake - to use a cinematic term - released shortly. According to EuropeanVoice, who have two reports here and here, the draft budget is 2.3% higher at 5.2%, when compared to this year and is due to be presented next week.

One does have to wonder whether our political class, or the MSM, will stir themselves to show any interest. I suppose of one thing we can be certain; and that is the Member of Parliament for Stone will cash in on the opportunity to see his name in print yet again.

With the increased contribution that any increase to the EU budget will have to our country's finances, is a debate between the political elite and the electorate not due on the subject of who actually governs the UK coupled with how and where our money is spent?

The longer such a debate is postponed, the greater the pressure becomes for that debate to take place and said pressure can only increase with yet more intrusion in our country's affairs from Brussels - that will surely come between now and October - affecting how we live our lives.
