Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings will you be corrected

Daniel Hannan returns to the subject of propaganda and the use of children. This is an old subject, one known about for some time now, in particular the production of comic strips for children. Hannan, homing in on Dr. D Vider, a baddie, writes:
"Well, a few years ago, I stumbled across an internal Commission report that concluded as follows: “Children can perform a messenger function in conveying the message to the home environment. Young people will often in practice act as go-betweens with the older generations......"
The use of children to promote the EU 'message' is nothing new as witnessed by this report from Bruno Waterfield who writes:
"More than 330,000 copies of the diaries, accompanied by 51 pages of glossy information about the EU, have been delivered to British schools as a "sought after" Christmas gift to pupils from the commission. But Christians have been angered because the diary section for December 25 is blank and the bottom of the page with Christmas Day is marked only with the secular message: "A true friend is someone who shares your concerns and will double your joy". While the euro calendar marks Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and Chinese festivities as well as Europe Day and other key EU anniversaries, there are no Christian festivals marked, despite the fact Christianity is Europe's majority religion."
Being that these diaries were a 'sought after Christmas present' just what the hell were the government doing in allowing them to be distributed and just what the hell were teachers doing in distributing them? In relation to both articles a further question arises which is just where were the parents? Do they not take an interest in what is taught or given to their children? The fact that our masters in Brussels could even consider using children to spread their message demonstrates that the EU is indeed exhibiting all the hallmarks of a totalitarian state.

Presumably the use of children is based on the fact they are considered to be gullible. Unfortunately general election results, especially since 1997 and including 2010, show that adults are not that much more savvy!

WfW, I have similar experiences. Schools are being used as propaganda factories for the next generation and the children are not being taught to think for themselves. Children in my family now have such intolerant beliefs on many subjects, that it is impossible to have a sensible conversation with them; this ranges from smoking, drinking, driving, immigration, charity and green issues.
Coincidentally, I had a meeting with my pension adviser today and we happened to have a discussion on such matters. To my surprise, he was very supportive of the brainwashing that is being practised within our schools. I was to say the least, dismayed by his position because I had thought he held a similar view to mine, in that it is not for government to preach to us. But there you go, the whole country is contaminated by socialist thinking.

jic: Indeed, the pc/lefties have now managed a great hold over our lives and importantly methods of education. By working on the theory 'grab 'em young and you've got them for life', we now have a problem which will take generations to reverse.
