Cameron has to have his wits about him?

Reproduced from the Ukip website:
"As the world continues to focus on the Greek economy and the future of the Euro, the European Union has proposed several key pieces of legislation which will have a significant impact on life in the UK.

The details, sent to European leaders ahead of their meeting in Brussels later this week, provide a useful smokescreen to the ongoing events in Greece, while having potentially devastating consequences for the UK in terms of industry, commerce and asylum if approved.

Later this week, the European Council will be discussing the following proposals:

* A financial transaction tax which will allow the EU to raise its own tax, even set its own tax rates, without democratic oversight. This money will be disproportionally raised in the City of London and will cripple London's place as one of the world's financial leaders.

* Finalisation of the EU's takeover of Britain's asylum rules. This means that Britain will not be able to set its own asylum policy.

* The economic governance package. This sees the EU having oversight of the UK's treasury decision. It demands budget approval ahead of the government presenting its Budget to the British people.

* Endorsement of EU Treaty change to allow for future economic bailouts of other EU countries. This would see Britain liable for massive unknown future costs running into billions.

* Informal agreement of Croatia joining the EU. This would see another four and half million people given access to the UK.

UKIP Leader Nigel Farage said: "A number of significant proposals will be discussed at this meeting, all of which could have devastating consequences for the UK.

"All of this will be discussed while Greece burns. It is our belief that this blizzard of potential legislation has been created in order to remove the focus away from Greece.

"David Cameron had better have his wits about him or otherwise he could find that Britain has lost the right to set its own taxes, budgets and asylum policy."
Wits about him? With the twits he has about him perhaps we should raise the white flag immediately?

There are, I believe, 199 countries in the world. Of these, 172 have the right to set their own budgets and make their own asylum rules. In addition they make their own laws, sign their own trade agreements, formulate their own foreign policy, transport policy, energy policy, etc and, if a country with a coastline, have their own territorial waters with control over fishing. The other 27 countries have none of these. Which demented morons decided that Britain should be one of the 27 rather than one of the 172?

Rather than taking attention away from Greece, I'd say they'll be rushing to implement their stinking agenda double quick, before the people storm the Winter Palace.

There was a time when Britain made the law, all laws, in most of the countries around the world, and on the high seas as well. It wont be long before our council tax is set by the EU- with an appropriate % set aside for the EU.

What? What did you say? Really?

We require a revolution, but a revolution, like most things, have small beginnings.

So what small "beginning" do we nurture and tend till it becomes a blazing inferno?

Then someone has to strike the match by demonstrating for "wants". Then upping the ante, leading to retaliation by the state as it sets loose its armed police and dogs, arrest and incarceration without trial etc. All these events have to be borne with equanimity and resolve, as these increase the blaze. It is not easy to start such a blaze unless there are a significant number of people willing to go the whole hog, as well as a cause that is readily understood and worth sacrificing for.

What is happening in the case of the EDL, is illustrative. The EDL is a revolutionary grass roots movement, small initially, whose objective is to preserve and protect England from Isalmisation -a noble and easily understood objective. If that was the only objective, the state would have kept its dogs as well the full legal weaponry at bay. But not so. It is now attracting violent force, both literal and legal from the state. Why so - the EDL movement threatens not just the Islamisation of Britain, but the present political structure of the state, including the EU, and that threatens the state and its elite.

If forceful suppression from the state is a measure, the EDL is succeeding.

In passing, it is worth mentioning that the EDL now has counterparts in many countries in the EU, as well as Canada, Australia, and the USA. In the US it has the backing of the Tea Party, a small government movement with "localism" ie accountability at the local level, at its core. It is evident to me that the EDL and its counterparts, not just threaten the Islamification of the West, but the entire political edifice of statism that has crept into the West.

k: which demented morons? the approx 600 still sitting in the HoC!

TT: You are no doubt right, although it could be a close run race if the people can get their act together.....

DP111: there was also a time when we have politicians of principle and honour.....

I take your point about the development of the revolution, however I think events may move quicker than you envisage.

I believe that that we already have a grass roots revolutionary movement, whose stated objective is to preserve and protect England from Islamisation. But as this is a grass roots movement, it necessarily is local in nature. As it is about preserving England, effectively it will also be against the EU and statism.

The EDL may not know it at the moment, but the elite know that they have an enemy in the future that threatens the status quo- and hence its reaction against the EDL.

DP111: Fair comment but, without belittling the EDL, they are small - what will be the reaction when others join in, as they surely will in time? That will be the start of the revolution........

As I wrote before, all revolutions have small beginnings.

What happens afterwards when others join in, is really in the future. However as long as the vision of an England remains, that will suffice.
