You can't get a cigarette paper between them

So said Nigel Farage some time ago - and if you were looking for proof of that statement then forget any similarity in policy; forget that David Cameron is more Liberal left than Conservative right - as Richard North posts on EU Referendum, we now have a partnership twixt the Guardian and Conservative Home. Well, well - the 'voice' of the Conservative Party gets into bed with the left!

My opinion of Tim Montgomerie has never risen much above zero, on a scale of 1 to 10, an opinion confirmed when I heard him for the first time at an ASI event a month or two ago, at which he appeared to be a self-congratulatory, self-opinionated and self-serving wind-bag full of s***e - in other words he exhibited all the qualifications needed to become an MP - the latter occupation which no doubt will prove to be his 'game-plan'.

In his initial article for this Guardian/ConHome 'partnership' Montgomerie writes about 'guarantees' that Cameron will issue in relation to the NHS. The fact that Cameron's guarantees are about as worthless as that which the euro looks like becoming, Montgomerie  glosses over in an article that is, to quote Richard North, vomit-inducing.

When politics has sunk to the nadir it has, it is obvious that those whose living depends on comment thereon can rise to the top with zero talent or understanding of that about which they write.

Just saying......................

It is a tragedy indeed. But what is important is that these people, in parliament or government or even as PM, should not have power over absurdly huge sums of money.

What they do afterwards is of no interest to us.

It's frustrating beyond belief. As I mentioned before about Mitt Romney and his AGW stance, I could not believe that this is the man Republicans want to represent them next year. The polling shows him as the frontrunner and that's the way they want it.

What is the purpose of party politics when you have more than one party, but only one politics?

How do you even advertise yourself properly under such thought processes. "I'm John Q. Dickstain and I agree with my opponent on everything. Vote for me because I'll spend your money on things you hate more efficiently. I'm a businessman and my entire dad's side were politicians. The media says I'm a great candidate, because...uh...that's what they say".

This Montogomerie guy sounds like a pompous snob who treats his readers like idiots.

I don't see what's wrong with this. So ConHome has become the Guardian's token right of centre link in its pretence of being even-handed, and ConHome are happy with this since it gives them many more hits which help them to justify Lord Ashcroft's investm ...

Oh, I see what you mean.
