Two 'Y's

"There's no greater service to this country than the defense of its freedom."
Senator Barry Goldwater, 1964
  • So why do the Lib/Lab/Con not do that?
  • So why do the electorate not realise that?
Just asking...........

On the Telegraph website today under the comments for the EU derivatives regulations, I tore into people who think we should use the veto or leave the EU. There appears to be a lot of talk but few people who are prepared to act. I wrote a petition that said if our government does not respect our right to self-determination, we declare it to be illegitimate and parliament to be disolved. Then hold a constituional convention to restore what is ours to us.

I think part of the problem is that people have reached the level of cynicism where all politicians of all colours and at all levels are now considered to be corrupt. Consequently there is nobody they want to vote for, nobody worth voting for, and hence no easy solution to the situation. So they try and ignore it completely.

S: Your petition is on the govt website? If not why not as it would be interesting to see what response it got

W42: Ignoring a problem does not make it go away.......?
