Why people wish to be politicians

is illustrated - and confirmed - by what is becoming the 'story du jour'. An old adage states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Politicians, from every political spectrum, seem intent to ensure that the process is hastened somewhat!

Just saying...........

Afterthought: It would seem that a fox has been thrown to the hounds - now where Cameron is concerned one could only wish 'were it he'.......... (Geddit? Oh, do keep up, please)

I seem to recall that when joining the army if one states a preference for some specific discipline, the person is automatically allocated to somewhere else. Not sure if true or apocryphal, but I would apply that reasoning to many public service jobs, MP and social worker being the two most dangerous. And maybe judge, Met Police Chief Constable, member of HoL, teacher, councillor, NHS manager.

When I commented that Fox had married Jesme Beard in 2005 just in time for the Conservative leadership election I noted it was not published....
