There are only so many cards in a pack

You know that when playing cards, whatever the game, following a shuffle of the pack it results in the same cards being issued to each player albeit in a different combination - such is the same result where party leaders carry out re-shuffles of their cabinets.

MilibandE has carried out such a reshuffle with the same old faces being presented in the hand he has chosen to deal to the electorate - with one difference, in that this time MilibandE's 'pack' seems to contain only jokers. Consequently we see the same faces being moved around to present a 'new hand' - with what purpose, one has to ask. Admittedly, this shuffle does contain three of the 2010 entrants; namely Chuka Umunna, Stephen Twigg and Rachel Reeves - of which only Reeves would appear to have any qualification for the role to which she has been assigned. Not that MilibandE is the only guilty one where changing the responsibilities of his 'cabinet' is concerned - it seems a routine practised by every party leader. That the electorate, come election time, seems not to see the 'card trick' that has been played on them really does beggar belief.

As with the selection of candidates, which should surely be carried out by Open Primaries, should not the appointment of those to whom great responsibility is to be given, not also be the choice of the electorate as they, after all, are to be the guardians of our nations future? When forming their cabinets all leaders have bills to pay, or favours to return - witness the fact that Umunna was one of the backers of MilibandE for leader of his party, not that I am insinuating owt nor implying any hint of the practise of black magic in the appointments procedure.......

Just questioning, thats all.......................

Afterthought? All the above does is to add further weight to the argument that a new system of democracy for our country is long overdue.

I note the appalling Mr. & Mrs. Balls are still in the shadow cabinet, so "The Welfare Party" (NuName for NuLab copyrighted by me) should hopefully remain unelectable for decades.
They're all ghastly, opportunistic,,self-serving & economically-illiterate scum.
