Coercion - EU style

I notice that our "Lords and Masters" in Brussels are determined to ensure our economy is completely wrecked with their 'initiative' "Smart cities and Communities initiative", whose policy fields are:
"European energy strategies, Sustainable energy, Renewable Energy, Energy efficiency, Energy Technology & innovation, Oil, Coal, Gas, Electricity, Nuclear energy, Security of supply, External dimension, Energy infrastructure, Energy Market Observatory, Energy Research."
and whose target groups are:
"Public authorities, Member States authorities, private organisations, industry associations, SMEs, citizens, consumer organisations, trade unions, NGOs, environmental organisations, Notified Bodies, Consultancies, Workers Employers' federations, other relevant stakeholders and Citizens (inside and outside of the European Union)."
Do note that whilst 'citizens' are included, it is obvious that their views will be drowned by all those of the 'stakeholders'!

Now Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden; would you mind very much if we just 'disappeared' - please? You see we in Britain have a belief in something called self-government and, in order to restore that, we have a 'supply and demand' problem over here - we only have so much hemp and so many lampposts for our own 'problems' and we can't quite handle all yours at the moment - but give us time - and as history shows - we may just be able to help you out (again).

Oh, I don't know WfW, I could willingly become a stakeholder.

About 18 inches long with a sharp point - at least I'll take one of them with me.

All the money wasted on this garbage could be spent on something more useful.
