The noose tightens?

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
Abraham Lincoln

The European Union has just published the agenda for the Foreign Affairs Council meeting due to take place next Monday and Tuesday.

Leaving to one side the fact that "Windbag Willie" will be involved in the windbag-fest discussing the Southern Neighbourhood Region and in which they are expected to adopt conclusions on Syria, Libya, Bahrain and Yemen, the interesting aspect of this gathering occurs in the agenda of the Defence Ministers.
"The Council will discuss military Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) operations. It will also discuss initiatives in the CSDP area and capabilities and is expected to adopt conclusions on pooling and sharing."
Somewhat kinda blows a whole in the waterline of the poor ship "No common army, navy and airforce" does it not? Mind you, the UK will be sending HMS Liam who should be able to throw a spanner in the works fox the opposition........

On a more serious note I wouldn't rely too much on HMS Liam to rock the boat. He's been warned about is outspoken behaviour recently and will toe the line or else!
