England is best!

So speaks a member of that renowned Eurosceptic party, namely Karl McCartney who is the MP for Lincoln and who extols what it is to be born English.
"In conclusion, being English is an indescribable, almost spiritual feeling. It is hard to put your finger on it, but that is the part of its beauty and its captivation. By and large one has still truly won the lottery of life having been born in England. Every morning when I wake up I just know I am English, that it is great to be English and that England is the best country in the world.."
Having waxed almost lyrical on England and being English one would be forgiven in thinking that here is an elected representative willing to fight, on behalf of his constituents, for country and monarch.
However, what do we find when we travel to the site "They Work For You"? That this defender of all that is England voted moderately for more EU integration. I don't care how few, or how many, times he voted for more EU integration, no true defender of England and the English would even consider such a course of action.

Conservative? Eurosceptic? It is no wonder that MPs are held in contempt!

I would be careful of 'they work for you' interpretation of voted "moderately for more EU integration" without looking at the detail. The same phrase is used for Dennis Skinner but as far as I'm aware he's voted against every EU treaty going.

I am TBF, I am - which is why I looked at the whole voting record and consequently used the words "I don't care how few, or how many, times he voted for more EU integration"

Ok, fair enough WfW. Sorry, I don't doubt that you did ;-) I didn't have time to elaborate on my original comment, that sometimes MPs vote for a pro-EU amendment in order to wreck an EU treaty (famously the social chapter in Maastricht) which screws up TWFY's vote 'weightings'.
