Its the way you tell it

Paraphrasing a certain comedian whose catchphrase was "Its the way I tell'em" - although this is not in the slightest funny, is indeed most serious and does need to be read! The stark realism of this article is massively impressive and horrific. If Parliament allows Britain to throw a penny more (which we don't have and will have less as Mr. Cameron lets the deficit mount) into supporting the euro, it has abdicated. We might as well send for an EU governor and open the place as a heritage centre.

Richard North, EU Referendum, has also posted on this story and writes:
"What is not said – and nor could it be – is that we're next. The Irish may owe a quarter of a trillion euros by 2014, but we'll owe one trillion pounds by next January. That is not quite as big as our GDP, but it's getting there, and Mr David Cameron's government is increasing the debt, day-on-day, month-on-month, year-on-year."
OK, its the Mail but assuming they are correct for once it seems we are in for a bill somewhere between £800million and £3.5billion.

Politicians believe they and only they are the cure for all our ills - more like the cause of all our ills!

Very interesting and a little to scary for my liking.

One comment on the Irish Times piece talks of "...the broken governance system and low-level but insidious corruption." Sounds all too familiar on this side of the Irish Sea too.

AKH: Yup but scary is not quite the word I would have used - horrifying possibly?

As for the quote, it matches the requirements for those politicians that believe in EU memebership.
