Know thy master........

Patrick Hennessy, another icon of 'journalism', writing in the Daily Telegraph reports on a 'last-ditch' attempt to de-rail HS2.

For someone who purports to be a 'Political Editor', should he not know that a 'comprehensive' strategy for transport, one including road, rail and air is, in fact, out of our hands? Just how many times do I have to point this out? Or this? And just what the hell does someone who qualified as an accountant, but who is obviously at a loss when being questioned on economics, know about chuff-chuffs?

And we plebs have to rely on Hennessy for news, someone who has 5,898 followers on Twitter, someone who obviously knows 'squat-diddly' about that which he 'writes'? Hell, he can't even confirm whether Greening, as Transport Secretary, will have cleared any agreement she may make with Siim Kallas*!

'Sheesh'! We are indeed being fed a load of 'Kebab'!

* And who is Siim Kallas? Just another 'political ladder climber', like Greening!

Westminster can be as sovereign as it wishes to be, but it chooses to be the UK regional assembly for the EU.

The deception that Westminster is actually in control of our destiny is very convincing, especially since it could be if it so chose. Everything seems to come from Westminster. Almost everything. Things either fly in under the radar, or they create a stir, but there's nothing Westminster can do because it's orders from Head Office so we'll have to renegotiate our relationship, sometime.......

When you look at a lot of these things it's clear that UK representatives have pushed for them in the EU and implement them with relish when they arrive. They have no concept of the national interest within the EU, they wish to lead by example. They're amongst the most enthusiastic supporters of Le Projet. Furthermore it's a naive enthusiasm. They have to deceive, cajole and bully a basically hostile populace into going along with it.

This is apparent in all sorts of things such as The Climate Change Act and rubbish recycling where the nature of the relationship between Brussels and Westminster is overlooked by almost all commentators in the MSM.

If you see this then the EU becomes the fundamental issue in British politics and if you are a proper journalist it puts you in the Booker camp - 'banging on about "Europe"'.

There's nothing surprising in the Hennessy treatment, it's just more overlooking the elephant in the room.

On the matter of H2S It will never be built for one simple reason. No Money. As reality slowly penetrates the Kevlar covers on our single celled ruling class they will slowly but surely ditch all the sacred cows they have held so dear. We are seeing this with all the policy responses to climate change and H2S is a classic program with no obvious payback, only huge cost hikes.

This is worth a listen, for whilst it is inconceivable that it will be done, so was the possibility of the Euro failing by Christmas just a few short weeks ago. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/steve-keen-parasitic-bankers-deluded-economists-and-why-%E2%80%9Cwe-are-already-second-great-depression

Our political class are not just one step behind events now but 3 or 4, and such is the speed of events that event the knowledge they are behind the game is not helping them catch up. This is entirely because they are in denial about what is happening, and cannot comprehend that the unthinkable is happening.
