"Parliament is "extremely worried" about the looming shortage of payments in 2012, which may overshadow the negotiations concerning next year's budget. In December 2011 no solution was found to claims for funding amounting to €10 billion, as some Member States questioned the financial data provided by the Commission. These payments had to be postponed to 2012 and will inevitably lead to a shortage of funds by the end of the year." (Emphasis mine)The heart bleeds..................(not!)

Oh dear :) If only the UK refused to pay anything now that would be progress. But all of Lib/Lab/CON would probably want to pay more if they could get away with it.
tso: How so bloody true!
The EU is thinking other ways to raise money to fund its inanities. From EURef "The BBC is informing us that the EU is calling in member state governments to include data CO2 emissions from farming and forestry in their national inventories of "greenhouse gas" emissions".
I wonder how long before our gardens attract a "Carbon" levy.
DP111: Yes, noticed that! As to your question, no doubt that will come.....
