Another musical interlude

We are, I suspect, all acquainted with the song "No Regrets" made famous by Edith Piaf (Non, je ne regrette rien), yet another song of the same title exists, the lyrics of which are by Tom Rush who I also believe composed the music - this orchestration being the work of Scott Walker (of Walker Brothers fame).

Another song which I have always liked is "If you go away", a song that resonates as it deals with the loss of a love, one which in time you realise has never been replaced. Various artists have recorded this, the original composed by Jacques Brel, "Ne me quitte pas", to which the English words were written by Rod McKuen.
