Romans 12:19

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord".
King James Version
Well Dear Lord, I would like to make a suggestion: Let us look after punishment of the body while you look after punishment of the spirit - Deal?

The Anger of a Quiet Man has a post on the Bombardier situation, one in which he writes:
"When we leave the EU and I truly believe it is a when, not an if, certain politicians and civil servants need to be held to account, these people were complicit in giving up our sovereignty, complicit in allowing further integration to the detriment of our nation and who have by taking our money in taxation conspired in treason against us the people."
It is not just that politicians have sold us into slavery but they have, at the same time, ensured that they are untouched by the deprivations they inflict on us - some believing they should not have to account for how they spend the money we provide for their use. Those same politicians stand guilty of having left our nation defenceless, both militarily and economically, whilst appearing to make no attempt to rectify those deficits; they stand guilty of having 'socially engineered' the original society of the country they swore to protect; and therefore we thought it reasonable that we invoke Matthew 7:2 which states:
"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
King James Version
Coupled with which, a proverb, based on Epistle to the Galations, 6:7, states: "As you sow, so shall you reap". A word to the All Wise, if I may so suggest, it might be an idea if the escalator to Hell was given a service as it looks very much as if it will be in use 24/7 shortly.

In the meantime, you will perhaps forgive me if I dash off now as some of us would like to begin the process of 'reaping' the 'sowers' in order that we may mete out that which they have measured - and I can assure you they won't be 'hanging around' very long!

Thanks for listening..............

It's an interesting one - retribution and justice. If they are not brought to account, this becomes impunity. If they are - well there is that verse. I think there's a difference between a nation's justice and personal retribution.

But there is "Render unto Caeser .."

That is we have to do what is required to keep a functioning state in the best interests of its citizens.

The EU is a criminal conspiracy whose main criminal acts were in the theft of a nation's sovereignty. This must be the biggest theft in history - stealing a nation from under the noses of a people. Therefore, bringing the thieves before a court is perfectly acceptable in the theological sense.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged" pertains to moral and spiritual judgement, and not to this earthly kingdom for criminal offences. How can it be otherwise, for if Jesus advocated this, and it was implemented, it would lead to the complete breakdown of society. That would be against the God's law.

From the above: This must be the biggest theft in history - stealing a nation from under the noses of a people.

How was the GREAT SOVEREIGNTY ROBBERY accomplished?

It was done by normal political machinations - bribery and patronage, nothing unusual about it. Its normal practice.

It was done openly with the complicity of a nation's political elite, by bribing them with highly paid political posts in the EU, in the event (certain) of their losing their parliamentary post in an election.

When one thinks about it, such a bribe is practically irresistible to a politician, for to lose political office is the greatest catastrophe that can befall any politician. To a politician, acquiring patronage, then excercising patronage, is one of the mains reasons of political office - it is also one way to remain in office.

Bombardier is a French-Canadian corporation supported by the Ottawa Government whereas BREL was a British Rail Engineering division sold to Bombardier when railways were privatised by a bRitish Government.

Siemens & Halske was a private German company specialising in telegraph equipment, railways to supply a Government railway network - the Reichsbahn.

The Siemens family also founded the Deutsche Bank AG.

Now I am lost on British politicians who once created ICI in 1926 to protect British dyes and munitions from the dominance of Germany's IG Farben.

Just why did Thatcher's Conservatives sell us all out ?

JH: Interesting comment. Have to disagree slightly in that I believe a nation's justice and personal retribution are entwined. I do not see how you can have one without the other. Perhaps you may care to explain?

DP111: Would disagree with your comment that the EU stole our nation's sovereignty - surely our politicos handed that to the EU on the proverbial plate?

TT: Good question!

Indeed, that is why I said with complicity of our politicians. However the agenda to steal a nation's sovereignty was the prime agenda of EU founders. The method chosen was to bribe our politicians with important sinecures in the EU. Easiest way.

Now that the EU has stolen sovereignty, it is now after a nation's identity. See EU Referendum.

I'm with James Higham here. We are required to establish a justice system which is why the Greek for Judges is such a strong word. They are working as God's representatives and should show the required humility and awe at the temporary power that they have been given. Personal retribution while satisfying in the short term, does long term damage all round. We need to tread warily, however angry we increasingly feel.

Surely the concept of turning one's cheek applies here. The most apposite punishment would be to bar them from all public positions for the rest of their lives. Some would be driven round the bend in no time.

Really ? When Nestle acquired Rowntree in 1986 it took quite a while for Nestle to appear on chocolate bars and Rowntree to be reserved for jellies.......that is how takeovers work.....who recalls that Focus DIY was once called Do-It-All owned by Boots/W H Smith or that Newcastle Brown is owned by Heineken ?

AtO: Personal retribution may well do long term damage but that damage cannot be as detrimental as that which we are suffering now.

a5759: You turn the other cheek if you want - me I'm all for re-arranging its shape and form as that will be the only lesson by which they will learn.

TT: Very good point.

True, in that the damage is grave: False in that personal retribution is like a cancer that eats away at the heart, but only of the perpetrator.

WitteringsfromWitney said...

AtO: Better that a few suffer from the cancer of retribution than the masses suffer from the cancer of slavery?

Alfred the Ordinary said...

WfW, Whilst I understand what you are saying, I feel we must agree to disagree and not just for the reasons I gave above.

It is too perilously close to my perceived moto of the EU. We sacrifice the individual for the greater good of the masses.

WitteringsfromWitney said...

AtO Understand - and as you wish. I would however say that there are examples in war where individuals have been sacrificed for the greater good. And this matter of governance, by and how whoever, is a war.
