Nothing like stacking the odds..........

Yesterday in Committee Room 14 a meeting of the HoC Second Delegated Legislation Committee, chaired by Philip Hollobone, took place in order to consider the draft International Monetary Fund (Increase in Subscription) Order 2011, this to allow an increase in the IMF's special drawing right of £9.5bn.

The Hansard record of the meeting can be read here, a record that includes the committee attendees together with those MPs from the Government and Opposition that attended the meeting, together with results of the vote taken. For those interested readers, a plan of the seating arrangement for Committee Room 14 follows:

We are continually informed that the Conservative Party are Eurosceptic in nature, yet where this committee is concerned it would seem that they have filled it with Conservative Europhiles. By referring to TheyWorkForYou it will be seen that of the Conservative MPs who sit on this committee, three who voted moderately against more EU integration are now required to support the government in any vote due to the positions they hold. The three in question are Mark Hoban, Financial Secretary to the Treasury; Robert Goodwill, Assistant Whip; and Greg Hands, PPS to George Osborne - of the remaining five, all have voted strongly for more EU integration.

Don't recall that snippet of information being included in any report by our 'independent and fair minded' media.

Just saying...................
