Secret EU Payments up by 464%

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism reports that according to the Financial Transparency System a total of 342 projects worth €408m were classified as ‘confidential’ by the European Commission in 2010 and that in 2007 there were just 104 such projects worth nearly €87m.

Money is paid for projects that are considered 'confidential'? Even allowing for the €265million apparently 'mis-accounted', that still leaves €140million 'unexplained'. As it would be beneficial for all to know the reasons why a project is classified as 'confidential' and what subjects these 'projects' cover, perhaps I might exercise my rights under Article 11.2 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU) and Article 15.1 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU)?

Once again, just asking.......

Where else do the commissioners get their slush funds?

Cameron is always going on about openness and transparancy so I'm sure he will bring the EU to task over this.
(Only joking)
