Anyone disagree?

From British Freedom, the following I have 'nicked' - or in polite 'blogger-speak - I am cross-posting.
"When I offered to write something for the British Freedom website spurred on by the excellent articles I had read, and the party’s ideas which are very much in tune with my own, I suddenly wondered what I could usefully contribute. In the past I have written to politicians outlining my intense displeasure with the state education system, mass immigration and the unfolding demographic disaster exacerbated by the corrosive effects of multiculturalism, and the plight of the working class, and all to not to much purpose, I might add. However, that said, I decided to share some thoughts with readers that I suspect are in keeping with those of many other people, especially of my age, who find it almost impossible to comprehend just how ugly this country has become in the space of a few short years, because in truth, it is anger that has brought me here, and to the British Freedom Party.
‘They have no idea how much I hate them’, a colleague told me a short while ago, and even I was slightly taken aback by the venom with which he said it. The ‘they’ in question, you will not be surprised to learn, were our ‘honourable’ politicians. His anger was directed at New Labour politicians in particular, and what he saw as their complete betrayal of people of this country. But as Paul Weston has written so convincingly in his essay, ‘How to Destroy a Country’, our fate as a people had been sealed a long time ago by politicians taking decisions that had no democratic legitimacy, and done so with utter contempt for the electorate. When politicians talk of President Assad’s attack on his ‘own people’, I often wonder if these traitors ever consider the consequences of their own insidious, downright evil attack on the English people, and do they realise just how easy they have made it to hate them?

And, it is of course, the English working class who have suffered the most from the Left’s rancid ideology. It is they who have seen their communities changed beyond recognition; it is they who have seen their wages plummet and working conditions eroded; it is they who have to fight for access to decent housing and schools for their children; it is they that are being screwed into the floor by big business, such as the energy companies; and it is they who are the most likely to be victims of crime, and exposed to cultural practices that are completely alien to this land, and which politicians were content to hide in the name of ‘social cohesion’.

Tim Mongomerie of ‘Conservative Home’ has written recently of Cameron’s mistake of not recruiting ‘gritty Northern candidates’ when modernising the Conservative Party, preferring instead women and ethnic minority candidates. I do not think this was a mistake at all, but deliberate policy. It was the working class who were going to bear the brunt of the changes wrought on this country, and most likely to be resistant to them. The last thing the political class wanted was working class representatives defending their interests. Blair’s New Labour intake was indicative of this strategy of exclusion, and it was continued by Cameron. It is to their credit that patriotic working class people have organised themselves because there was, and is, no sympathy from the political class who abandoned them. Indeed, I see more guts, honour and loyalty in the EDL than I do amongst the so called ‘political elite’. When Kevin Carroll said MPs should be ‘booted into the Thames’, I was inclined to agree with him. Actually, I would like to see the majority of MPs and Lords placed into a pod and launched into outer space never to be seen again, and we could do no better than start with Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats.
Peter Hitchens writing of mass immigration on his blog dated 12/11/11 states:‘The elite wish to pretend that they sympathise with us about the problem. But secretly they want to change the country for ever, and see mass immigration as the best way of doing this…One day, perhaps, those to blame for this disgrace will be punished. But I think it will by then be too late.'
Politicians are well aware of the failure of mass immigration and multiculturalism and still they do not deviate from their lunatic path. We have over a million youth unemployed, the numbers of women out of work it at its highest for twenty-three years, vast numbers of people in part-time work, and an economy that continues to stagnate, and we are asked to believe that this has nothing to do with mass immigration. And who do we have waiting in the wings to put all this right, Ed. ‘Hope over Fear’, Miliband, who stood at the heart of New Labour and announced recently, ‘we got it wrong on immigration’. It does not matter who resides in Downing Street from the Lib-Lab-Con, the great EU integration project will continue.

So, yes, it is anger that has brought me here, and it is an anger that has grown over time as I have watched and listened to deceitful, self-serving members and vicious ideologues of the political class destroy our country."
Personally, I find nothing offensive in the words written above - although, no doubt, our leftie-colleagues will - and they are words that I would suggest resonate with the majority of people in this country, whether they take an active interest in politics or not.

That we do have the means to change all this cannot be in doubt because all we have to say to our political class is: either you come with us, peacefully - or else.......

Unfortunately, methinks that at the end of the day it will take: 'or else' - which means that those who have taken a 'futures punt' on AK47s, piano wire and lamp posts are onto a 'winner'!

Racism - but what 'defines' racism?

"What 'multiculturalism' boils down to is that you can praise any culture in the world except Western culture - and you cannot blame any culture in the world except Western culture."
Thomas Sowell
British Freedom links to a video of a young woman, Emma West, having a 'rant'  about multiculturalism, with further comment from Sean Gabb on the Libertarian Alliance Blog. Up Pompeii posts a video entitled "My tram experience in France". The Anger of a Quiet Man posts on what might be termed an injustice of the legal system - or to be fair, a possible future injustice.

Not too sure if anyone in the blogosphere has come up with this query previously. We, as a country, are supposed to have adopted the principle of being a non-racist, diverse people which loves all mankind and therefore with our minds cleansed of all xenophobic thoughts (well that is what the Government think we should be anyway). If we are discriminating between the entry of EU nationals to the UK, about which problem we can do nothing, but putting barriers in the way of those wishing to come here from countries outside the EU; are we not then discriminating on race?

From a post of mine on 28th December 2010:
"Not for the first time, I found myself thinking that it is mainstream Britain which needs to integrate more with the British Asian way of life, not the other way around.”
David Cameron, “What I learnt from my stay with a Muslim family” The Observer, Sunday 13 May 2007.
"
That there is a definite decision by the political elite to impose equality and diversity within this country - one that does appear to 'favour' the immigrant is, without doubt, a fact and in this regard I would refer you to what I wrote on the subject of 'Communitarianism' during October this year.

To return to the subject of Emma West, a number of observations/criticisms can be made, at the forefront of which is her use of such language in the presence of her child and query what example that sets. Against that criticism are the words of Sean Gabb, when he writes:
"Her delivery gives her words an articulacy which is not apparent from a transcript. As you listen to her try not to be distracted by the copious swearing because the woman is a white working class Londoner, or at least part of what Jerome K Jerome called “greater Cockneydom”, and the effing and blinding goes with the territory. She is also speaking in a very stressful situation and allowance has to be made for that. She does not come across as thick. The fact that she has worked as a dental receptionist suggests that she is at least reasonably bright. She is also respectably dressed and there is nothing in her appearance to mark her out as being mentally ill or on the margins of society. Her son (aged between two and three I would judge) is smartly dressed and generally looks well cared for. (Contrary to some press reports, the child looks unfazed throughout )."
Reverting to the post by Up Pompeii, it is appreciated that this occurred in France, yet it could so easily have occurred in this country - and for all we know, probably has. If it has then the punishment meted out to Emma West would no doubt be sorely lacking in the case of this video. Similar cases of different 'justice' are only too prevalent; remember the case of the Muslims who burnt a giant poppy during Remembrance Sunday last year? Also do you recall the fire chief who banned his brigade's annual religious service to mark Remembrance Day in case it offended non-Christians?

It is not possible to throw different religions and races together and expect peace will prevail because the more 'equality' that is imposed, the more one 'group' will seek dominance. This fact is compounded by the purveyors of political correctness - who are the 'drivers' of this equality and diversity 'mantra' - and who, in the final analysis, will not even allow others their judgements. They celebrate 'difference' but they will not allow people to be truly different, to think differently and to say what they think. As a result the indigenous population of this country - and those who have fully assimilated the 'British way of life' - are being changed, or socially engineered.

On the question of 'multiculturalism', an interesting quotation from Angela Merkel; one that is true of religion as it is of race - and is an indictment of the aims of the European Union's wish for ever closer union:
"This multicultural approach, saying that we simply live side by side and live happily with each other has failed. Utterly failed."
But I digress.........................

'Meeja' studies

"The media's selection and description of particular events - far more than their editorials - help to create or promote national issues, to shape the minds of the Congress and public, and to influence the President's agenda and timing."
Theodore C. Sorensen, John F. Kennedy Speechwriter
Really? That the media do shape the minds of the public is true, but that they shape the minds of, in our case, the legislature and Prime Minister is pure hogwash. An example of how this statement is true can best be illustrated in the words of John Rendon, founder of the Rendon Group, a Washington PR firm, who in 1996 told the Us Air Force Academy:
"....when victorious troops rolled into Kuwait City at the end of the first war in the Persian Gulf, they were greeted by hundreds of Kuwaitis waving small American flags. The scene, flashed around the world on television screens, sent the message that U.S. Marines were being welcomed in Kuwait as liberating heroes. “Did you ever stop to wonder,” Rendon asked, “how the people of Kuwait City, after being held hostage for seven long and painful months, were able to get hand-held American, and for that matter, the flags of other coalition countries?” He paused for effect. “Well, you now know the answer. That was one of my jobs then."
And politicians do not manipulate the news? Yeah, right. What is presented to us today as 'news' is not 'fair and balanced'; it is most definitely 'one-sided', almost what could be termed 'advocacy- journalism'. The media have become part of - and the tool for - what may be termed 'perception management', the latest 'art form' currently being practised by our politicians. As an example I offer the 'Localism' aspect of the Coalition's process for the devolution of power to the people. From the Department of Communities and Local Government website it is possible to access the 'Plain English Guide' to this Localism thingy. Whilst the media did report the right to local referendums, I do not recall them providing as much space to the fact that local authorities can disrgard the result of a referendum if they so wish. As I wrote yesterday, if the public do not receive all the information required for them to make an informed decision, then there must be some form of censorship being practised.

If censorship 'per se' is not being practised, then mind-control most certainly is - and two examples. First Autonomous Mind posts on the misrepresentation of facts and lies being presented as truth. I would query AM's statement that the Express should ensure it's journalists understanding of the EU and the control it has accumulated over this country by pointing out that the content of journalistic efforts generally reflect the 'line' media proprietors wish 'pushed' - but I digress. Second, Richard North, EU Referendum, posts on the fact that Cameron has spent £2million of taxpayer's money on the formulation of his 'Happiness Index' questionnaire. The purported questions are 'mind conditioning' in that they are designed to focus the public's minds on matters of no real consequence, rather than on matters the public do have views - and in some cases, very strong views.

Besides being subjected, physically, to the will of our 'elected dictators', it must now be apparent so are we mentally. The control of our freedom and thought, coupled with the way history taught in our schools is being 'rewritten', means that in our journey down the Orwellian Big Brother path, it can't be long before we are provided with the all-seeing, all-hearing tv sets - or have we already?

More on that 'democratised dictatorship' thingy

We are all now aware that a debate on a motion submitted by the Backbench Business Committee, relating to our country's membership of the European Union and proposing this should be put to the people by means of a referendum, is to be held on Monday next.

From the Parliament website we are informed that the UK public elects 650 Members of Parliament (MPs) to represent their interests and concerns in the House of Commons. MPs consider and propose new laws, and can scrutinise government policies by asking ministers questions about current issues either in the Commons Chamber or in Committees and from the 'About Parliament' section we learn they also debate issues of the day.

Little seems to have been made in the media about the fact that the MPs, members of a  Parliament, one supposedly the guardian of our sovereignty, in deciding to hold this debate is then informed by the Executive that that debate is not binding on them. This then begs the question do we have a democracy or a dictatorship? Likewise little seems to have been made in the media about the fact that a group of people, elected to represent the views of their electorates, are then 'ordered' to obey the diktats of their respective leaders and thus to ignore the views of their electorates. Once again I have to ask whether we live under a democracy or a dictatorship. Methinks that the Parliament website, in saying that Parliament is the supreme legal authority in the UK, needs a re-write - only omitting the words 'Parliament' and  'legal', whilst substituting the word 'Executive' in place of 'Parliament'. With the fact the behaviour (voting) record of all three main parties being subject to the orders of their leaders and that where governance of this country is concerned the leaders all accept governance from abroad, why do we bother with general elections? The fact that whilst those parties promise change, all those elections do is replace one set of Quislings with another and that the stench of hypocrisy remains is best illustrated by a story from British Freedom:

"A company commander inspected his soldiers, and afterwards told the CSM that his men smelled bad.

The OC suggested perhaps it would help if the soldiers would change underwear occasionally. The CSM responded, “Yes sir, I’ll see to it immediately!”

The CSM went straight to the soldier’s barracks and announced, “The OC thinks you buggers smell bad and wants you to change your underwear.” He continued, “Pitman, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change with Wilkinson, and Brown, you change with Saddler…”

THE MORAL OF THE STORY:
Someone may come along and promise “Change”, but don’t count on things smelling any better.
"

Just saying.....................
