The future of our country

With the way in which the present political landscape stands - and whether or not this Parliament lasts its 5 year term - our country faces what may be called Armageddon in that at the next election the people can expect to be governed by Labour; a continuation of the Lib/Con Coalition, or a Lib/Lab Coation; or the Conservatives.


Can any reader, hand on heart, tell me exactly what the difference will be? Will we not continue to suffer the indignity of governance from Brussels? Will we not continue to suffer governance by the State? Will we not continue to suffer, as a result of the governance by the State, yet more interference in our lives? Will we not continue to suffer yet more curtailment of our freedoms?


For those of us who know that our system of representative democracy has failed and has been infiltrated by those with what may be termed a common purpose, what avenue exists for us to make our voices heard other than blogging and/or commenting on other blogs? For those of us who know that an alternative system of democracy exists - one encapsulating direct democracy and referism, or either individually - what opportunity is there for us to get our views more widely known? The only method is utilising the 'services' of the MSM - but what if the MSM does not wish to 'know', or print/repeat our views?


Where are think tanks such as the Centre for Policy Studies or the Bruges Group - organisations that have a virtually immediate access to the MSM? Where are 'independent' journalists, such as James Delingpole, Ed West, Gerald Warner or Simon Heffer - journalists who continually write about the benefits-not of the status quo? I have 'fed' them 'intros' to what are 'matters of concern' on a number of occasions, but to no avail. At the last general election I alerted them to the campaign the Albion Alliance was conducting, one in which those of us involved in that campaign attempted to email every candidate who was standing, requesting that they stood for the return of our country's independence - to no avail. I have 'fed' them 'intros' about the demand for direct democracy and/or referism - to no avail. Or have they too been 'subverted'? Or are they - as are politicians - only interested in their careers?


I am beginning to think, admittedly belatedly, that the PTB (both political and journalist) are indeed members of the same club - due, of course, to their dependence on each other. There is, of course, no point in appealing to Members of Parliament, such as Carswell, Hollobone, Cash, Bone, who are obviously 'career politicians' - likewise Hannan, an MEP - all of whom espouse 'direct democracy' without appearing to completely understand what that form of democracy actually means. Their idea of direct democracy entails no more than continuance of the status-quo, ie continuance of central control by them. Shame on all those named!


Which begs the question whether the only alternative for we the people, who are only too aware of the deficits in our democratic system, is outright, armed rebellion.

Woe is Ukip

For 'yonks' this country's membership of the European Union has never registered with the British public as an election issue; albeit that the politicians from the Lib/Lab/Con have refused to discuss it; the media have refused to raise it at election time as an issue; and the only party against said membership - Ukip - has gone about their business in what can only be described as an amateurish manner.


It is accepted that for what is considered a 'minor party', in political terms, to gain media attention is extremely difficult - especially with a media that is undoubtedly 'influenced' by the Lib/Lab/Con with their dire threats of 'non-access' should what may be termed 'negative copy' be filed. Having made that basic point, one would have thought that in the current climate, where the subject of membership of the European Union - and of that body itself - has been one of the main topics in the news, Ukip would have polled highly. That this did not happen may be due to the 'bounce' Cameron and his party received from Cameron's non-veto on the non-treaty. Digressing slightly, that was some 'bounce' when considering that the Conservative candidate actually lost votes compared to the 2010 general election.


That there is something greatly amiss in Ukip's strategy is even more self-evident, especially considering what can only be termed their dismal showing in Feltham & Heston. Ukip have, of late, made much of the fact that nationally they are polling 8%, compared to the national figure of 7% for the Liberal Democrats - but one has to say that surely, in these circumstances Ukip should have been polling in the 'upper teens' as a bare minimum. I think that all - maybe with one or two exceptions - would agree that Nigel Farage is charismatic, likable and appeals to a great number of people because he tends to speak in 'plain English', unlike most politicians. Yet the point has to be made - what is the benefit of making what some have termed 'barnstorming' speeches in the EU Parliament, or on Russia Today, when they are only available to those with internet access, said speeches and interviews being totally ignored by our MSM?


The problem that Ukip has is not just with the strategy, one presumably 'directed' by Nigel Farage - it goes much, much deeper. Those of us who are members of Ukip are continuously reminded that to gain national seats it is absolutely necessary that local seats are obtained. Yet when, in conversation with a Regional Organiser, I raised the question of how many branches had anyone conversant with election law, or had anyone with the faintest idea how to conduct an election campaign, the answer received was that the figure would be extremely few. Having done both with the Conservative Party - when I was a member - and offering to visit branches to talk about these two aspects, among others,  I was advised that it would be considered. Since then - four weeks ago, come next weekend - the response has been deafening by its silence. That a 'following' can be gained is only too apparent when considering Aylesbury or Ramsey at the time of the last local elections - yet, again, it is obvious that 'lessons have not been learnt', something 'par for the course' where politicians of any party is concerned.


Richard North, EU Referendum, together with Helen, Your Freedom and Ours, pass on their own views on this subject. Richard North is of the opinion that it may be worthwhile to formulate a gathering together of  interested parties and disaffected 'eurosceptics' to see whether there is a common, positive ideology that could unite us all, and provide a standard around which the disaffected of this nation can muster. I am of the opinion that the core already exists and it exists within Ukip. The problem is the present strategy - and those dictating said strategy - and both need changing. Perhaps it is possible that those within Ukip who recognise that a problem exists - and those ex-members, who could perhaps 'bury the hatchet', got together to discuss a way forward.


This is not to suggest creating a division within Ukip, but merely to educate a few people in that party. When considering the standard of response the Albion Alliance received from Ukip candidates during the campaign they carried out with candidates of all parties, prior to the general election of 2010, there is definitely one hell of a lot of education required where Ukip is concerned. As readers will be aware, I am a great advocate of 'Referism' and 'Direct Democracy' and I would have thought that those ideals would be the cornerstone of a party that has the word 'Independence' in its title - independence not only for the country, but independence for the people.

Democracy is not the periodic right to make a cross on a ballot paper

So spoke Daniel Hannan in a debate on 17th May 2011, a debate entitled "Germany no longer needs Europe, the dream is over". Yet that is precisely what our present form of democrcy in this country permits us - no more, no less - and one with which Hannan, with his cohort Carswell, would wish us to continue with their ideas set out in 'The Plan'. Even Ukip, a party that believes and has in its name the word 'Independence' is party to the continuance of the premise the people should be governed, albeit allowing referendums

Regular readers will know that of late I have been 'banging-on' about what I call a participatory form of democracy and this is a subject I first raised on 18th May 2010, following the formation of the Coalition. Unfortunately at the time it attracted no comments. From that post a few extracts:

"Initially, let us consider the form of democracy under which we now live - what may be called 'representative' or indirect, democracy. It works like this: every four or five years political parties present to their electorate a complicated list of proposals, called a manifesto. This document contains some items we like and also some we don't like - and those proposals are worded in such a loose 'form' as to be virtually worthless - yet we are forced to choose one party over others........

The present British Parliament is an odd body in that it claims 'legislative surpremacy' when it suits it, yet is supposed to be subservient to the people. In fact the only time Parliament accepts subordination to the people is when it comes to the people for the people to exercise their periodic right to choose a new parliament. In the intervening periods it practices what I have in the past termed 'democratised dictatorship', in that Parliament decides what laws will be passed, often bearing no relation to those proposed in the governing party's manifesto including some laws that were not even mentioned........


'Representative' democracy, it can be argued, is bad both for the elected representatives and their electorate. Elected representatives only too often conceal from the electorate what they are doing with their power and become corrupted by that power - witness the last New Labour government 'gerrymandering' by allowing in unlimited immigration on the assumption that most immigrants will vote for them; and the new Liberal Conservative government attempting to change the rules by which Parliament can be dissolved, neither of which two 'ploys' were contained in their respective manifestos. Witness also the corruption of those Members of Parliament who 'twisted' and 'bent' the rules governing their expenses and in so doing made capital gains in the property markets by means of what is generally accepted as 'misuse of taxpayer's money'. For the electorate, it means they become 'divorced' from democracy with no means of questioning and correcting their elected representatives behaviour and decisions. Because Parliament only subordinates itself to the will of the electorate every four or five years, in between times the electorate grows increasing cynical and disinterested in politics.

So what is the alternative to 'representative', or indirect, democracy? The answer, quite simply, is to take the 'in' out and consider 'direct' democracy. Direct democracy uses referendum and 'initiatives' to supply direct democracy. A true referendum or initiative is one which is put to the voters whether the government of the day wants it or not and it is through this means that the people control the government and negates the situation, as at present, whereby the government controls the people. The big difference between indirect and direct democracy is that the voters do not merely vote every few years to elect a Prime Minister and government and then leave it to them to decide their future, until they have the next opportunity. Under direct democracy there is still a Prime Minister and government, however at any given moment voters who have collected the requisite support can insist that a law proposed by the government, or elected representatives, be submitted to the electorate for judgement in a referendum. By utilising the 'initiative' aspect of direct democracy it is even possible for the electorate to submit proposals for a new law, one that may not appeal to the government or even appear in their manifesto. By both referendum and initiative the electorate stay in command of politics between elections and not just on a once-every-x-years basis. Direct democracy also encourages participation in politics by the electorate and thereby negates the apathy all to prevalent today.

To those sceptics that say direct democracy would never work and that people don't want it, one has to ask how the sceptics know that. It has never been put to the electorate; it is debatable whether the electorate even know another method of democracy exists...." 

Let us consider three basic facts on which democracy is based.

1. Political authority is derived from the people - government only exists with the consent of the people.

2. 'Rights' are not granted to the people by government - 'Rights' already belong to the people from the moment of their birth.

3. The people have the sole and exclusive right and power to govern themselves in any area not delegated to their government. (Note the words 'not delegated to their government')

Both Thomas Jefferson and James Madison warned that if governments ever became the sole and exclusive arbiter of the extent of its own power then that power would continuously grow - regardless of elections or separation of power.

Decade after decade, we the people have been voting one lot of politicians out in the hope that a new lot will be different and yet decade after decade government's powers continue to grow and the people's liberties continue to diminish. It doesn't matter who has been Prime Minister or what political party has been in government the growth of powers assumed by government has continued.

Here's a thought, perhaps we, the people, should write a manifesto for the country and then see which of the political parties were prepared to honour and enact it in full. Those parties that did not feel able to meet the required criteria then need not put up a candidate, thus saving themselves one shed load of money - and us the problem of listening to a load of meaningless crap! Consider this - when was the last time any Member of Parliament, or Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, actually asked you, as one of their constituents, what you wished to see in their manifesto? No? I thought not - they are too busy telling us what their party will decide we will be allowed to do.

And therein, dear reader, lies all the arguments why a change is required to our system of democracy; why the Albion Alliance is undertaking the initiative that it is; why membership of the European Union is not in this country's best interests; and why we presently live under a form of 'periodically renewed' dictatorship - albeit one supposedly democratised.

The evil that is the EU has this past week come out into the open. The power brokers, the unelected 'presidents' who rule europa, the appointed unelected technocrats that have openly taken control of two sovereign states are only the very public view.

Hidden beneath the surface in every country in the EU are the traitors, the fifth columnists, the activists and the useful idiots. They all work to undermine our democracies, to ruin our trade, to impoverish our people, indoctrinate our children, making all dependent upon the state.

Without this army of traitors working within our institutions, our government, our civil service and our education system the power brokers have no power. Therefore we must know our enemy.

The thing that they fear most is publicity, to have the bright light of public exposure shone upon their actions. It is time to expose this evil at every level. At the supranational, national, regional and local levels for all to see and act against. So shun them, exclude them from your community, eject them from your pub or club, turn your back on them, give them no space and keep shining the light on them, and let everyone know who the traitors are.

When you know that your local councillor is taking his instructions from the Council CEO who has just returned from getting his orders from Brussels or the RDA, then you will know not to vote for them, you can demonstrate to remove the CEO, you can take action until these people are removed from their jobs. When you discover that your trades union has been making the rules in concert with the EU that are now crippling your ability to live rather than just survive, you can leave that union and isolate them, in every case you can take direct action against these fifth columnists when you know where exactly to direct that action.

For what these people do is criminal, it is treason, it is punishable within our law.

A Database of EU collaborators to be established by The Albion Alliance.

"13th November 2011 – 22:30

As the EU enters its final death throes and resorts to intimidation, deception, alarmist and anti democratic power grabs, including the installation of non elected prime ministers, and as the Government of the United Kingdom continually deny the people their voice regarding the EU, those responsible for the demise of the United Kingdom as a free and sovereign state are to be named and shamed.

A new database of United Kingdom collaborators with the EU is to be established, to collect information on those individuals, groups and corporations that have aided and abetted the demise of the UK, who have worked on establishing a supranational State over and above our own sovereign United Kingdom, who have conspired to impose authoritarianism upon the people of the United Kingdom and who have conspired to give away the sovereignty of the people which is on loan to our parliament.

We will also be seeking their prosecution and accountability under the laws of THIS land, following due process of law.

The database will aim to collect data on the individuals concerned, including but not limited to, parliamentarians, peers, privy councillors, civil servants, police officers, lawyers, judges, heads of commerce, media barons, journalists, public sector chiefs, crown agency personnel, local authority personnel, trades unionists, publicly funded oversight and steering committees or anyone else actively engaged in promoting the values, edicts and decisions of the EU over our English and Scottish legal rights, laws and customs, especially those active in the myriad of EU sponsored unelected ‘committees’ such as the Committee of the Regions,  the European Economic and Social Committee and Regional Development Agencies, as well as politically motivated ‘training’ groups, taxpayer funded ‘fake charities’ and their spin-off organisations.

The database will not be kept a secret, nor will its contents. All relevant crimes of Treason will be made known to the public at large. Their names, positions and alleged crimes are to be established for all to see.

In order to protect ourselves from State interference in this work, we shall make the data copyable, down-loadable and generally available to anyone who would want to replicate the published material, in which we give free licence, thereby making it impossible for the State or the EU to suppress it. We want this database to be as freely available as your Sunday newspaper.

Very soon the public will be invited to instigate their own investigations of individuals, collect evidence and proofs, and then to contribute information to this database, so that it becomes a work of the nation, by the nation, for the nation.

As we do not know when or who will assume office in the next FREE United Kingdom government, other than to suggest it will not include Conservative, Labour or Liberal Democrat parties who have already shown their collaboration writ large, their crimes against the nation will be presented so that those concerned can be made accountable.

The People of the United Kingdom WILL have their say in matters EU."

Before they get the chance to totally bankrupt us, and see this country openly ruled by EU technocrats, they must be stopped.

The rest is up to you. If you want your country back, you’re going to have to fight for it. You are going to have to fight their greed and self serving interests.

The traitors in our midst have been all too quick to use technology and databases in an attempt to control, tax and indoctrinate us, so we are going to use their own tools against them. Right now I want them to know we are coming for them, and we will give them nowhere to hide. In their own words, it’s all on the database.

They may try to stop us, they may try using the courts to remove the databases, they will probably accuse us of libel or defamation, let them try, but they can’t lock us all up, they can’t shut us all up and they are well on the road to bankrupting every one of us already. We are millions and the databases will be outside of their jurisdiction anyway. Now, in public view, you will probably get to see just how repressive these Europhiles really are. As I write this, I wonder which piece of draconian legislation they will try to use first, or will it be that old favourite, fabricated sex scandals.

Whatever comes next, we do ask for your support and action, your participation in gathering information & evidence, and in the fullness of time in their prosecution.

'Your call' doesn't enter into it - as usual!

Courtesy of The Albion Alliance Present comes notice of a speech given by Neelie Kroes Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Digital Agenda, on the subject of "Deploying the eCall life-saving emergency call system" at the European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism in Brussels. A little background on the dCall system can be found here and here we are informed that: "As eCall normally 'sleeps', it does not allow vehicle tracking outside emergencies".(Do note the word 'normally')

In her speech, Neelie Kores states:

"In addition, I should underine that some of functionalities used by the eCall system, such as positioning and communication, could be part of a common platform and shared by other connected services to be deployed for the benefit of European industry and citizens. eCall could therefore also play the role of a catalyst for the deployment of other types of service, such as navigation, roadside assistance or hands-free calling." (Emphasis mine)

The reason for my emphasising those words in the extract above are due to the Eurovignette Directive  amending Directive 1999/62 on charging of heavy goods vehicle. Neither the existing Directive nor the proposed amendment presently require the use of tolls or user charges but where Member States choose to apply them they must respect the rules.

That road charging is on the agenda of the EU is beyond doubt as it is one that fits the policy of user/polluter pays and, in their own words, provides a useful instrument to generate new sources of revenue to help develop what is considered a vital infrastructure, whislt satisfying the EU's mad climate and energy agendas.

Returning to Neelie Kroes' speech, it will not have escaped reader's attention the EU decided that introduction of eCall is mandatory; that whilst eCall normally 'sleeps', it could just as easily be 'awake' 24/7; that if there is one system already in being to pinpoint a vehicle for one eventuality, then it is a simple matter for that same system to pinpoint a vehicle continuously 24/7; that if charging of heavy goods vehicles is already in the pipeline then it must follow so are charges for all vehicles. Obviously any form of road charging will be so much easier once Galileo is operable (Galileo being a project that has been falling further and further behind schedule); meanwhile all the groundwork is being prepared...........

Unfortunately the phrase 'forewarned is forearmed' is not much help here on the basis that there is not much we can do in preparation to overcome it - unless of course we tell the EU to get lost.........?
